We recently interviewed Roshaneh Zafar, Founder and Director of Kashf Foundation, on behalf of Triodos Investment Management’s Impact Investing blog. Established in 1999, Kashf was the first specialised microfinance program in Pakistan to specifically target women from low income communities. When Roshaneh established Kashf in 1999, her goal was to reach 10,000 women in three years. Incredibly, by 2003 it had reached 60,000. The article describes the challenges she faced and how she overcame them.
